The African Union

AU | General Assembly

Committee Introduction

The African Union actively works to promote unity and solidarity within African countries. Member states seek to eradicate forms of colonialism and work in harmony to solve political, social, and economic endeavors. African Union countries defend national sovereignty, endorse international cooperation, and strive to strengthen all African nations. The AU has made significant change all across the continent and continues to swiftly problem-solve for the greater good in issues such as the industrialization of African nations and the threat of piracy along coasts. The AU is an advanced committee for delegates who wish to refine their Model UN skills as they strive to be strong, and well-rounded debaters. We hope to see you all step out of your comfort zone and push yourself to join us in the African Union!
