Committee Introduction

The Future Crisis Committee (FCC) is a fast-paced and electrifying committee. Set in a future where colonies on the moon push and pull for what they believe is right for themselves and their home country, delegates will be colony leaders, rebels, or neutral parties. They will have to engage in diplomacy while combating threats, mitigating sabotage, and building alliances. Crisis Committees are designed to push more experienced delegates to solve problems spontaneously, think creatively, and explore scenarios they otherwise wouldn’t have. FCC is the perfect committee for those who wish to learn about crisis, step out of their comfort zone, and have fun! We hope to see you in our committee pushing the limits of debate and what you thought you were capable of.

  • Director

Liam Krattli is a Sophomore at Bellarmine and he is thrilled to introduce many new delegates into the wonderful world of Model UN. Liam was first thrown into the world of Model UN at BELLARMUN 2022 by his sister; he has attended every conference available to him. In the small amount of time he has outside of Model UN he spends his time playing soccer, playing water polo, volunteering at the zoo twice a week, going on runs with his dog Ziggy while listening to music, playing video games, and watching movies. Liam hopes that BELLARMUN 2024 will provide the same experience that it did for him to all new delegates and help them form connections with other delegates and above all, have fun navigating the twists and turns that make up the Future Crisis Committee.

  • Chair

Emma Calin is a senior at Bellarmine and is ecstatic to be serving as chair to the Future Crisis Committee (FCC)! Her first conference was PREPMUN 2020 and it developed her passion for global issues and leading change in the world, even over zoom. Apart from MUN, Emma is usually found in the pool and has been competitively swimming for 12 years with hopes to further her swimming career in college. She loves listening to music and watching movies. She could spend hours on end talking about both. She also loves to go on hikes with her Pomeranian George. Emma hopes that BELLARMUN 2024 will inspire delegates to pursue MUN in their futures, continue learning about important topics and to most importantly have fun! She can’t wait to meet all of you in the FCC committee and share this amazing conference experience with you!

  • Assistant Director

Sofia Estudillo is a sophomore at Bellarmine and can’t wait to meet delegates while serving as an assistant director for the Future Crisis Committee (FCC)! She was first introduced to the world of MUN at BELLARMUN 2022, meeting people who would further her passion to learn more about the world around her. Outside of debate Sofia can be found in the pool, having swam competitively for the past 7 years. When she’s not in the water Sofia can be seen crocheting while listening to music or enjoying a good book. Sofia hopes that BELLARMUN 2024 allows delegates to bond with one another while encouraging them to continue on their MUN path. She can’t wait to see you in committee and hopes you’ll love FCC just as much as she does!

  • Assistant Director

Iliana Welker is a sophomore at Bellarmine, and is so excited to be working with the delegates as the assistant director for the Future Crisis Committee (FCC). The first time she did MUN was at BELLARMUN 2022, and since then she has won two awards for crisis committees and met lots of smart and fun people in her MUN adventures. When she’s not in a passionate debate, she’s eating and listening to music, she loves to bond over music and talk about it. During fall time, she’s running in cross country and marching in drumline. The rest of the season, she’s practicing for concerts. Iliana wants the BELLARMUN 2024 to meet other people, teach them new things, and hopefully spark their love for MUN. She can't wait to meet you all and make MUN a fun experience!
